STEF MCALPIN, LMHP
Stef brings over 30 years of experience in education and counseling to her work with children,
adolescents, adults, parents, and families. Her background as a teacher and school counselor
provides a deep understanding of the academic, emotional, and relational challenges that impact
clients across all stages of life.
Stef’s approach is relational and collaborative, grounded in empathy, respect, and a belief in the strength of the human spirit. She creates a calm, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood as they work through anxiety, family stress, grief, and life transitions. Having walked through her own seasons of challenge and change, Stef brings an authentic, down-to-earth understanding to her work; meeting clients from a place of genuine compassion and shared humanity.
Stef has a special passion for walking alongside individuals and families through seasons of grief and loss. She helps clients honor their experiences, find strength in connection, and gently rebuild a sense of balance and hope. She believes that even in moments of deep sorrow, connection and meaning can light the path forward.
Stef holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska Kearney. She earned her Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Nebraska Omaha. Stef is a Certified School Counselor and a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner.
